Hapkido

Jiu-Jitsu tournament

Hapkido is a Korean based martial art that originated from Japan’s full art of Jiu-Jitsu. This self-defense system addresses all ranges of combat (stand-up, clinch, and ground fighting) and is taught as a true mixed martial art as it encompasses striking, clinch, throws, joint manipulation, chokes, ground defense, and weapons. Due to the range of different combat taught in this system, it is a great martial art for students who desire to develop a full range of self-defense. Daniel earned his Hapkido black belt in 2007 and has spent the last 14 years seeking out specialized training in each area of combat to enhance his skill sets and stay up-to date with defense curriculums.

His study of Filipino Knife Fighting, Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Submission Grappling, Synergy Combatives, and Firearms and Tactical Operations resulted in the ability to be a multi-faceted self-defense instructor. Daniel earned his master level certification in Hapkido and has developed a fully inclusive defense curriculum for students who wish to earn rank through DNC Defense® in Hapkido.
